St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church in North East will again host is annual “Family Train Day”
on Saturday, January 10, at St. Mary Anne’s Parish Center, 315 S. Main Street in North East.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is free, and features a number of working model or
toy train layouts of various ages, gauges, and sizes. Family Train Day has been held each year
(except for two years skipped due to Covid) since 2006 and typically several hundred people
visit.
The event is a fund raiser for a designated local non-profit organization that supports kids, and
free-will contributions are accepted at the door. There is also a food concession and a raffle of
several train sets donated by Just Trains of Delaware. This year, proceeds will go to the Youth
Empowerment Source (https://www.youthempowermentsource.org) in Elkton. Train Day is
supported by a grant from Thivent Financial.
St. Mary Anne’s invites everyone to come and see the trains on January 10!
