December 2025: Your monthly update on events and programs at the Library
11/20/25 – Cecil TV – Naomi Copenhaver, Perryville Library Branch Manager
Checking in from our Rising Sun branch! If you haven’t had a chance to visit this location of CCPL yet, add it to your list. The branch offers an incredible collection of books, along with computer access, quiet spaces, and a meeting room available for patrons to use.
New Initiative
Ready, Set, Read! – I’d like to start by highlighting a new initiative we just launched at all the branches, our Ready, Set, Read! Backpacks. These are themed backpacks with books, games, and activities designed to help children develop and practice their reading skills.
Ways to Serve Others at CCPL
Cecil Serves: Volunteer Fair – On December 2nd at the North East Library, explore new ways to make a difference in your community at the Cecil Serves Volunteer Fair. Meet representatives from a wide range of organizations looking for volunteers to support their missions. For more information, please call 410-996-8416.
CCPL Food Drive – We are also collecting food donations at all CCPL branches now through December 6th. Community members are encouraged to donate unopened, non-perishable food items or personal hygiene products to any branch. They will be used to support local food pantries.
