Adult Winter Reading – We are in the second month of our Adult Winter Reading program! Stop by any branch between now and February 28 to pick up a Winter Reading log. Complete the challenges and fill in a circle for each one to earn a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a Book Lovers Basket. And yes—I brought one of the baskets to show you! We do ask that everyone registers for Winter Reading, which you can do on our website or in person at any branch location.
Flee! Stories in Flight, Maryland in Black and White – This exhibit is now on display at the Elkton Branch and will remain up until March 31st. The Underground Railroad touched every part of society—enslaved and free, Black and white. This exhibit explores lesser-known stories of slave owners, fugitives, and accomplices, and examines how slavery and the flight to freedom shaped the lives of all Marylanders.
