CECIL PUBLIC MEDIA is an independent Non-Profit news organization providing trusted, non­partisan, accurate, insightful and reliable reporting about Cecil County.

Community coverage that empowers and connects people in a productive way to help grow Cecil County into an informed and empowered community.

Cecil TV: We bring you information that is fair, honest, non-partisan, and accessible to the average citizen.

Civic Engagement: Join people together to work through the issues that divide us so we can better participate as citizens in a democracy.

Public Participation: Equip regular citizens with the basic skills to report, tell their stories and become part of the production process.

Community Hub: Serve as an information center for events, announcements, and vital notifications.

Local journalism is a threatened species. Across the country, thousands of local media outlets have closed or sharply reduced their staffs. For the public this means less information about your local government and your community. Quality journalism shines a light on the dark corners and backrooms of government and explains how your leaders’ decisions and actions will affect you.

To do this, Cecil Public Media needs your support. Through our fiscal sponsor, the Institute for Nonprofit News ( INN.org ), we will gratefully receive donations. We are a very lean operation and the money you donate will go directly toward our primary mission of reporting the news in Cecil County. Just click the DONATE button on the cecil.tv web site.
