As work continues on improvements to the equine facilities at Fair Hill, interested parties were invited to view the progress of the project. In anticipation of becoming one of two venues able to host 5 star equine events, significant changes are being made to the one mile turf course and adjoining event areas. On hand to explain the ongoing work was Project Director Gary McGuigan of the Maryland Stadium Authority.
Offering a striking visual change from the Fair Hill course patrons are familiar with is the newly sodded, re-shaped and banked turf track which officials say will be safer and no doubt faster.
With a planned completion date of December 1, the work is being accomplished at an aggressive pace and there remains optimism that the renovated facility will draw participants and fans from around the world.
